Children in Year 4 go to Burwardsley for three days. They visit Beeston Castle and build dens in a nearby forest. Whilst there, they go badger watching and make natural art out of things they find there, like fallen leaves and twigs. They take part in orienteering, an archaeological dig and investigating the local area. They also visit a candle factory and make their own candles and badges. There are lots of long walks but it is great fun!
In Year 5 children make a visit to the Oaklands Centre for a taste of outdoor activities such as orienteering, night line, gorge walking, night woodland hike, canoeing and rock climbing. It's exhausting but fun!
Pupils in Y6 have an opportunity to attend a four day residential course at Llanberis YHA. During this time, they develop their team working skills and improve their self-confidence.
