It is with great pleasure I welcome you to Gayton Primary School. We are very proud of our school and its community.
Gayton Primary is a happy and welcoming school. We promote a family atmosphere, where each person is actively encouraged to show care and interest in the welfare of others. This is reflected in the attitude of our children and all those connected with the school, as well as being central to all school policies and values. Our mission is to nuture ‘positive minds’ so as to create ‘positive futures’ for all of our pupils.
As a school, we promote high standards of achievement and attainment for all our pupils and encourage them to become creative and critical learners. We want them to embrace the skills that will allow them to thrive in a rapidly-changing world, while being aware of their rights and responsibilities to ensure the well-being of others.
We offer a stimulating and imaginative curriculum which is designed to engage, challenge and develop curiosity and a love of learning for all our children. Our school’s Vision Statement of “…seek to provide a well-balanced education which will develop and extend the whole child, ensuring the highest standards of attainment and personal growth…” reflects our commitment to improve the provision for all of our pupils.
We hope that you will find this website informative and helpful in providing you with a real feel for our happy school. If you have any queries, please do get in contact with us.

Today we searched for rocks in our natural environment! Using our knowledge from this week, we were able to recognise a variety of rocks as well as the type of rock we believed it to be. https://t.co/GPFKsQJnGF

Today we became a Stone Age community. We all had a very important job to do before reporting back to the community leader in our evening meeting. We used the present perfect verb form to write a report detailing everything we had completed during our day! @GaytonPrimary https://t.co/vB9sm4dw1P

A lovely festive tree @Y2Gayton
Year 2’s bookmarks have made a lovely Christmas tree decoration. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas 🎉🎄🎅
Such an amazing evening last night. Thank you to all our parents who came to support our KS2 children. They were outstanding and the darkness, lanterns, stars and twinkly lights added to the atmosphere. ⭐️
We are looking forward to our KS2 outdoor Christmas carol event at 6.00pm tonight. A bit different this year, but nonetheless a chance to be together and spread some Christmas love and joy.
