It is with great pleasure I welcome you to Gayton Primary School. We are very proud of our school and its community.
Gayton Primary is a happy and welcoming school. We promote a family atmosphere, where each person is actively encouraged to show care and interest in the welfare of others. This is reflected in the attitude of our children and all those connected with the school, as well as being central to all school policies and values. Our mission is to nuture ‘positive minds’ so as to create ‘positive futures’ for all of our pupils.
As a school, we promote high standards of achievement and attainment for all our pupils and encourage them to become creative and critical learners. We want them to embrace the skills that will allow them to thrive in a rapidly-changing world, while being aware of their rights and responsibilities to ensure the well-being of others.
We offer a stimulating and imaginative curriculum which is designed to engage, challenge and develop curiosity and a love of learning for all our children. Our school’s Vision Statement of “…seek to provide a well-balanced education which will develop and extend the whole child, ensuring the highest standards of attainment and personal growth…” reflects our commitment to improve the provision for all of our pupils.
We hope that you will find this website informative and helpful in providing you with a real feel for our happy school. If you have any queries, please do get in contact with us.

Love this @Y1Gayton
We used levers to make a moving picture based on our English book Lost and Found.
This looks like so much fun and brilliant team work! 😀
Parachute fun #workingtogether @GaytonPrimary @Y3gaytonprimary
Year 4 back in training, #indoorathletics @GaytonPrimary
We enjoyed hot seating Tom from our story ‘Seal Surfer’ in order to gain more of an insight into his thoughts and feelings. We had some great characters in role as Tom! https://t.co/KSOoNOMIed
Finally we are back on Twitter thanks to the help of Mrs Hulley! Here’s what we have been doing in Science… Today we started to draw where we thought our bones were in our bodies before labelling the human skeleton correctly. https://t.co/UJua3tN9zF
Next, we were the small intestine, squeezing out the nutrients.
We recreated digestion in the stomach.
Look at the smiles! 😁 We are now back enjoying cross country events again! This has been missed so much in recent times and it was so wonderful to watch the children enjoying competing again.
Amazing performances from our cross country runners. So proud of you all for trying your best, encouraging each other and cheering each other on. What a wonderful event! Huge thanks to Wirral Cross Country Association for organising the event.
