Academy Conversion

20th December 2022
Dear parents/carers,

RE: Academy conversion

The RSC have now confirmed that we will be converting to an academy on 1st January 2023 and will be joining Cheshire Academies Trust. This is something that has been very much part of our strategic planning for the last 12-18 months and I would like to thank our Governing board for all their support in enabling us to be in this position. We are joining a strong trust which aligns with our own ethos and values and we know, through our due diligence, that we will be supported in continuing to improve outcomes for our pupils as well as facilitating more collaboration and support for all our teaching staff and leaders.

At the end of this term, Debbie Marchant is stepping down as a governor and I would like to thank her for all her contributions to our governing board over the last few years.

Lisa Mann is also stepping down as a governor. Lisa has been involved as a governor at Gayton for 7 years. During this time, she has been a parent governor, vice chair of governors and over recent years has stepped into the co- chair position. We would like to thank her for supporting the school for all these years and are very thankful for her commitment and dedication to the school.

We look forward to our new governors (Daisy Dale & Jenny Young) joining our local governing board in January and are pleased to announce that Dr William Holt has also been co-opted on to the board as he has specific skills which are required by our governing board.

We are really looking forward to working closely with Cheshire Academies Trust and are excited for the next stage in our school improvement journey.

Thank you for your continued support,

Kind regards,
Mrs McAleny
