Home learning update- Friday 20th March 2020

In light of recent circumstances, we are providing a ‘home learning’ pack to support you and your child at home. (There is an electronic copy of the home learning packs below in case you have misplaced yours.) This will consolidate learning for the next two weeks before the Easter Holidays. You have also been given an exercise book for the children to record any of their home learning in. At the front of the book, there are some key passwords for the following educational sites:
* Code studio (computing – programming for years 1-6)
*TT Rockstars (times tables and a new number bonds/addition and subtraction section for years 1-6)
* E-schools ( this will be where we are going to be sharing all our additional home learning activities for all years)
*Classroom secrets (where you can access a variety of comprehension, SPaG and maths activities for years 3-6)

You can also access Twinkl (a website used by teachers) where you can find a variety of different resources to support learning and well-being. To set this up please follow this link www.twinkl.co.uk/offer and enter the code UKTWINKLHELPS.

You might find it useful to click on the ‘resources’ section then ‘Planit’ where you can select a specific subject and year group with different activities/resources. In terms of reading at home, we will not be giving out books if your children are on the reading scheme. However, you can access Collins banded books for free if you log in as a teacher via:

Username: parents@harpercollins.co.uk
Password: Parents20! (See below for an idea of which book band your child will be reading at if you are unsure.)

There are also age-appropriate texts on Twinkl and classroom secrets that you might want to use.

We hope this will prove useful. Over time, we will be sending out more information to keep everyone going
