It is with great pleasure I welcome you to Gayton Primary School. We are very proud of our school and its community.

Gayton Primary is a happy, nurturing and welcoming school. We promote a family atmosphere, where each person is actively encouraged to show care and interest in the welfare of others. This is reflected in the attitude of our children and all those connected with the school, as well as being central to all school policies and values. Our mission is to nuture ‘positive minds’ so as to create ‘positive futures’ for all of our pupils.

As a school, we promote high standards of achievement and attainment for all our pupils and encourage them to become creative and reflective learners. We want them to embrace the skills that will allow them to thrive in a rapidly-changing world, while being aware of their rights and responsibilities to ensure the well-being of others.

We offer a creative and imaginative curriculum which is designed to engage, challenge and develop curiosity and a love of learning for all our children. Our school’s Vision Statement of “…seek to provide a well-balanced education which will develop and extend the whole child, ensuring the highest standards of attainment and personal growth…” reflects our commitment to improve the provision for all of our pupils.
