Nursery

We are delighted to announce that from September 2026, we will be establishing a school-based nursery at Gayton Primary School.

This means that the current pre-school provision will transition to become part of Gayton Primary School. We are working together to ensure that this is a smooth and positive transition for all children, families and staff. We are pleased that pre-school staff, who wish to do so, will transfer to the new nursery under TUPE arrangements, helping to maintain the strong relationships and consistency that are so important for children.

We would like to reassure all families across both the school and pre-school community that this development has been carefully considered. The Local Governing Board of Gayton Primary School and the Pre-School Trustees are fully supportive of this change.

If you would like your chiild to join our nursery in September 2026, please contact the school office. We will have places available for children aged 2 years to 4 years old.

Gayton Primary School and Nursery

Following our recent consultation with both school and pre-school families, we are delighted to confirm that we have now received formal approval from the Local Authority to establish a School Based Nursery at Gayton Primary School from September 2026.
