Parking issues

17th January 2022
Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you so much to all the parents who consistently ensure that they park with consideration and respect when dropping off and picking up your child from school. Unfortunately, we still have a minority of parents who do not consider the safety of all our families at this time.

Please can I reiterate the following:
1) Please do not use the bus stop to drop off or pick up your child. This is not a designated drop off point and it is dangerous when parents choose to use this spot.

2) Please do not park directly opposite school as this prevents families from crossing safely on Gayton Road.

3) Please do not park on double yellow lines in the local vicinity of the school.

Please can I urge everyone to really consider where they are parking; the safety of our pupils must be a priority in everything that we do so please consider this when you bring your car close to school.

Parking further away from the school and considering a short walk or cycling to school could make all the difference to the safety of all our children.

Please can you ensure that you share this communication with anyone who collects or drops off your child at school e.g. grandparents, childminders etc so that everyone is aware of the need to keep our school community safe.

Thank you for your understanding and support with this.

Kind regards,
Mrs McAleny
