Walk to Lapland

4th December 2020
Dear Parents/Carers,
Tomorrow each class will be taking part in the PTA Walk to Lapland event. I know that lots of families have been joining in at home and recording their miles from their family walks/runs etc so the miles that the children walk or run tomorrow can be added to the whole community total.

The weather is not looking wonderful and rain is forecast. However, we still intend to go ahead with the event. Therefore, please ensure the following aspects:

1) Your child can come to school wearing their PE kit with trainers.
2) Your child must have a waterproof coat in school (preferably with a hood).
3) Your child may bring a change of clothing (doesn't need to be school uniform) to get changed into, just in case they get wet whilst walking.
4) They are welcome to bring wellies, if they want to walk in wellies but if they are running, they need to wear trainers.
5) Children can wear santa hats and reindeer ears etc.
6) Your child must have a water bottle in school.

The PTA are raising money for this event and sponsorship can be made at the following JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/gaytonprimarypta

We will be adding the totals from the different classes tomorrow so that they contribute to the total number of miles.

Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs McAleny
